Angle
Steel angles are L-shaped bars that feature a 90-degree angle, making them highly versatile and structurally sound for a variety of applications. Available in two main finishes, these steel angles can be found in a black mill finish, which is the raw state of the steel after it has been formed, or in a Duragal finish, which is an in-line galvanized product. The Duragal coating provides an extra layer of protection against corrosion, which will enhance the durability and extend the lifespan of the steel in all environments. Steel angles are manufactured in a range of sizes and thicknesses. Common black steel angle sizes that we stock start from 20 x 20mm through to 200 x 200mm, with a thickness of 3mm through to 26mm. Common Duragal steel angle sizes that we stock start from 30 x 30mm through to 100 x 100mm, with a thickness of 2.5mm through to 8mm.
Applications
Steel angles are more commonly used in the construction of bed frames and box trailers, as they provide support and structural integrity. In addition, steel angles are frequently used in the fabrication of shelving units, brackets, and frames for machinery, as well as in the construction of buildings and bridges. Their ability to bear heavy loads and withstand harsh conditions makes them ideal for both indoor and outdoor projects. Steel angles can be welded or bolted together, which allows for creative and efficient designs in manufacturing and construction.
