This is to prevent and protect eyes from such hazards as airborne dust, debris, vapors, fumes, splash hazards or projectiles. Not only is eye protection important in the workplace, it should also be incorporated into any task at home or work that has the risk of exposure to these hazards.
Our range of protective eyewear meets all the Australian and New Zealand safety standards, and doesn’t compromise on style, comfort or effectiveness. There are 3 main types of eye protection used in the industrial market – safety glasses, googles and face shields. All of these have advantages and disadvantages depending on the type or works being undertaken.

There are 3 main types of eye protection used in the industrial market – safety glasses, googles and face shields. All of these have advantages and disadvantages depending on the type or works being undertaken.
Safety Glasses – These are the most common form of eye protection due to their high level of comfort for the user and the range or styles and colours available on the market. Unfortunately, safety glasses don’t protect against hazards such as liquids and vapors. It is important that you select a pair of safety glasses that carry the correct impact rating on the lens. Some styles of safety glasses can also be fitted with prescription lenses, adding another convenient feature to this popular choice of standard eye protection.
Safety Goggles – The main difference between safety glasses and safety googles is the seal around the eyes that protects against dust, splash hazards and airborne particles. The seal elevates the level of protection making goggles suited for a large range of industrial settings. Googles can also be fitted with prescriptions lens so there is no needs to wear prescription glasses underneath. Some users find goggles uncomfortable after prolonged use.
Face Sheilds – Unlike safety goggles or glasses, face shields offer full protection for the face, not just the eyes. This is useful in settings where liquid hazards are a high risk. Face shields are often bulkier that wearing glasses or goggles, they can also protect the user from harmful UV energy.
