At BJ Howes Metaland, we offer an extensive rage of farm gates to suit your needs and budget. Our range of farm gates include N-Stay Gates, I-Stay Gates, Bar Gates and heavy duty “GI” Gates. We stock a large range of different sizes in every type of farm gate, to suit various types of applications. All of our farm gates are manufactured in Australia.
N-Stay Farm Gates
The N-Stay Farm Gates are manufactured with a tighter mesh size to enhance the strength and protection of the gate. The diagonal support brace, running from the bottom to the top corner, adds even more strength and stability to the gate. For additional safety, the gates are fully welded with notched joints to prevent cracking and ensure lasting durability. The N-Stay Farm Gates all feature a 5mm pre-galvanised wire with a tight 150mm x 10mm aperture, to withstand the demands of livestock and outdoor conditions. The gates are constructed with 2mm thick pipes that are hot-dip galvanised inside and out, to provide the gate with corrosion resistance. All gates feature 1170mm height and range from 2400mm to 6050mm in width, to suit various applications.
The N-Stay Mesh Farm Gates have a zinc-based coating that completely covers the pipes and welds to protect it from rust. All of the N-Stay Mesh Farm Gates are 1145mm high and range in width, starting from 3000mm through to 4880mm. The pipe is consistently 25NB with 190mm x 45mm mesh apertures on the lower part and 190mm x 90mm mesh apertures on the upper part of the gate. All N-Stay Farm Gates are available in left and right matching pairs.

I-Stay Farm Fates
I-Stay Farm Gates are a high-strength, reliable solution to your farm fencing needs. These gates are built with 25NB pipe for a consistent, robust frame, ensuring for long lasting durability. The embedded wire mesh within the gate increases its overall strength and enhances its durability. The smooth, flush end welds eliminate sharp edges, making it safer for both livestock and people. The I-Stay Farm Gates are made to withstand harsh environments, due to their galvanised coating which makes them corrosion resistant. Additionally, the gates come with pre-fitted hinges to ensure a fast and easy installation. The 1145mm height and a wide range of widths from 830mm to 4800mm make these gates adaptable to various applications, whether for smaller enclosures or large access points. Featuring 5mm galvanized wire with a 200mm horizontal by 100mm vertical aperture, these gates provide excellent security and protection while maintaining a clean, open design that allows for better visibility.
Bar Gates
The Bar Farm Gates area strong, reliable gate that is designed to be used for cattle and demanding livestock. These gates are designed to be strong, featuring horizontal hot-dipped galvanised pipe that is welded securely to the outer frame. The design, combined with advanced notched welding techniques, provides enhanced durability and structural integrity, ensuring the gate can handle the demands of high-pressure livestock situations. Not only do these gates deliver exceptional strength, but they also offer an aesthetically appealing finish, making them a reliable and attractive addition to your farm or property. Constructed with uniform 25NB pipe, these bar gates are 1145mm high and range from 1000mm to 4800mm in width, providing flexibility for a variety of applications. GI Farm Gates
The “GI” Farm Gates are a solid and heavy-duty gate that features extra reinforcing bars, perfect for rural applications. Each “GI” Farm Gate is professionally welded with maximum welds for stronger reinforcement. At our BJ Howes Metaland Gunnedah Branch, we manufacture the “GI” Farm Gates in a range of sizes, starting from 3 foot to 28 foot. Additionally, custom sizes are available upon request. If you are looking for something more personalised, we are able to do decorative scroll work, lettering and numbering for your gate.
